Research Interests

Broadly I'm interested in the ecosystems ecology, and how ecological processes respond to environmental change. My research focus is on high latititude regions, specifically carbon and nutrient cycling in Arctic plants and soils.

I use a combination of experimental work and models, often employing stable or radioisotopes to understand carbon and nutrient dynamics, both in the field and in the lab.

My fellowship research topic "Plant nutrition as Earth System Science" addresses the interactions between soil carbon dynamics, plant nutrient uptake, and plant growth.
