Biography

From Dec 2018-Nov 2020, I'm seconded, as Senior E-Learning Developer, to the Jeanne Marchig International Centre for Animal Welfare Education at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. I will develop a range of educational resources, including websites, apps, and interactive activities, as well research projects.

From 2015, I was based in the Digital Education Unit, at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, as Senior E-Learning Developer, where I was responsible for providing e-learning development support for a number of online postgraduate programmes; pedagogical advice; and instructional design. I provide support to students and staff on e-professionalism and managing an effective digital footprint/online identity via workshops, lectures, and one-to-one clinics. I lead and co-lead a number of research projects on digital education; digital footprint; social media use in learning & teaching; and animal welfare.

Previously, Head of Digital Education at the Institute for Academic Development, University of Edinburgh, where I provided pedagogical advice to a wide range of University colleagues and engaged with research and external activities in the field of digital education and social media.
