Research Interests

Psychology of language and communication, including language production, language comprehension, dialogue, and bilingualism, with a focus on syntax and semantics.

Postgraduate: I set up an MSc in Psycholinguistics (now Psychology of Language), which has been running since 2001 and averages 10 students a year (with additional students attending individual courses).  I teach extensively on this programme and other MSc classes, and have taught week-long courses overseas.

Undergraduate: I teach and have taught extensively at all levels (1st-4th year), including Artificial Intelligence, Experimental Methods, Psychology of Language, Thinking, Statistics, Sentence Comprehension, Language Production, and Cognitive Psychology.  In addition, I teach projects, literature reviews, and tutorials, and supervise 4th year dissertations.
