Biography

Monica Hoyos Flight studied Biochemistry at the University of St Andrews and completed a PhD in Developmental Neuroscience at Imperial College London. In 2005 she joined Nature Publishing Group as launch editor of the Cell Migration Gateway in Nature’s Web Publishing department. Between 2007-2013 she worked as Associate and then Senior Editor on two monthly journals: Nature Reviews Drug Discovery and Nature Reviews Neuroscience.

In 2014 Monica relocated to Scotland and joined the University of Edinburgh's School of Chemistry as Public Engagement and Outreach Coordinator. Since then she has been working as Coordinator and Secretariat of The National Institutes of Bioscience, and in August 2015 took up the post of Head of Communications and Science Administration at The Roslin Institute.
