Professional Qualifications

I qualified from Bristol in 1988 and spent 15 years working in small animal practice, 11 of those running my own practice, Honeybourne Vet Centre in Cheltenham. After selling the practice I went on to work for VetFocus - a veterinary business consultancy giving advice to practices on business management, with a particular focus on delivering excellent client care. I joined the Dick Vet in March 2007, initially working with the delivery of continuing professional development and overseeing students extra mural studies, but have now focussed on the development and delivery of an applied, relevant to practice, professional skills thread throughout the 5 year course and organisation of the final year course. I aim to bring closer links between the vet school, veterinary practices and other sectors of the Veterinary profession to help ensure that our graduate are well prepared with all the skills the profession needs and are highly employable.
