Biography

I am currently a post doctoral researcher in the BHF Centre for Cardiovascular Science Molecular Physiology Group. My current work utilises the Zebrafish for the study of renal physiology with a focus on the renin-angiotensin system.

Current Research Interests

My research invovles the use of zebrafish for the study of renal physiology with a focus on the renin-angiotensin system and renal injury. This wourk has required the creation of new transgenic models for the study of the RAS. These include reporter lines and cell ablation models. Curret studies are using CRISPR technology to establish both knock-in and knock-out lines. Studies are ongoing to create relevant and refined models of kindye injury in zebrafish. My work focuses on larval fish to capitalise on the in vivo capabilities offered by larval zebrafish.
