I’m currently working as a Law Tutor at the law school, and am teaching the honours course "Neuroscience and the Law" as a guest lecturer in early 2018.

Until recently, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on legal aspects of the “Whole Truth” project, a multidisciplinary project based at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Among other things, my work on this project enabled me to develop themes from my Ph.D. research on psychopathy, neuroscience and criminal responsibility.

I’m currently interested in data protection law and, more generally, in the legal, ethical and societal implications of machine learning and automated decision making.

My background is medical as well as legal, and I have previously worked as a doctor and trained as a pathologist in the UK. More recently, I've worked as a Lecturer in Medical Law and Bioethics at University of Manchester and, after completing my Ph.D. there, as a Teaching Assistant at University of Stirling law school.
