Research Interests

Antecedents of later life health and psychological well-being outcomes , psychological chnages associated with age, contributions of cognitive ability to later-life outcomes, structures of intelligence and personality, antecedents of and sex differences in academic achievement, statistical techniques for understanding development and gene-environment correlation and interaction, longitudinal data analysis and the twin method of assessing genetic and envirnmental influences.

Teaching

I teach sections in Introductory Psychology, Third-Year Differential, Third-Year Methodology, MSc Cognitive Ageing and Cognitive Epidemiology, MSc Current Topics in Psychology, and MSc Statistics, Third-Year Literature Review Tutorials, Fourth-Year Tutorials, and a Fourth-Year/MSc course in Human Cognitive Abilities. I am the course organiser for Third-Year Methodology and Fourth-Year Tutorials.
