Description

The Scottish Child Care and Protection Network (SCCPN) provided a range of briefings on child protection topics requested by practitioners. The core team commissioned and edited the briefings to draw out key messages for practice from research and provide signposts to further information. The briefings are published on the SCCPN (now ‘WithScotland’) website at http://withscotland.org/exchanging-briefings. Topics include: Children living with parental drug and alcohol misuse; Children living with domestic abuse; Children living with parents with mental illness; Involving children in assessment and decision-making; Involving parents in assessment and decision-making; Resilience: concept, factors and models for practice; Enablers and barriers to joint working; Impacts of Poverty on Children And Young People; The Complexities Of Recognising And Reporting Emotional Abuse In Children
