Description

The project ‘the interplay between host and pathogen genetic factors in the increasing incidence of bovine tuberculosis’. Responsibilities: Quantification of the extent to which host genotype influences tuberculosis (TB) susceptibility in the Northern Irish dairy cattle; identification of SNP markers which can be used to select for enhanced TB resistance; identification of candidate genes for TB resistance, and dissemination of research findings through peer-review publication and presentation at national/international conferences.
