Abstract

The project blog contains a wealth of short research articles on material found in the notebooks and other manuscripts while transcribing or cataloguing. This allows the team to draw attention to items which might not immediately have found their way into print; to compile first drafts, as it were, of future research outputs; as well as simply to record interesting or amusing items happened upon during research. Blog readers are also kept up to date with progress on the project and the activities of project staff. The project has had a number of visitors from the associated research and professional fields and blogs have been written to record those. The blog has proved extremely popular, both from anecdotal evidence and the fact that it has had over 40,000 page views since its launch.
