An analysis of the decisions of the Israeli courts in the Dead Sea Scrolls copyright case. The paper argues that the editors of the published edition of the Scrolls would enjoy copyright in their work under UK law, and speculates on the possibility of a copyright in the fragmentary scrolls themselves as unpublished works.
