Abstract

The Oxford Handbook of Hume boasts 38 newly commissioned essays ranging over many facets of Hume’s thought. Other recent anthology series that include volumes on Hume – for example, those published by Cambridge and Blackwell – aim to introduce their subject-matter to student readers. In contrast, volumes in the Oxford Handbook series aim to offer ‘authoritative and state-of-the-art survey[s] of current thinking and research’ about their subject-matter.
