My research in a nutshell

I study the modelling, design, and analysis of optical communication systems. I have investigated novel MIMO and cooperative/relaying techniques for energy-efficient and high-speed atmospheric optical links suitable for terrestrial (e.g., mobile backhaul) or satellite applications. I study efficient data transmission over fibre-optic communication systems impaired by dispersion and nonlinear effects.My research has also addressed unconditionally secure communication through quantum cryptography.
